Scholars and rogues post

Question, not comment to begin discussion. What do rational, logical thinking people like myself in the face of such hypocrisy? I feel that the backlash alone from the current administration's corruption should pave the way for a landslide Democratic victory, no matter who runs. Yet here we stand with a candidate who has a lot of potential (I agree he is still raw), and we're sitting in the middle of a tight race. The manipulations of the facts by the "liberal media" (the term itself is a manipulation) for the personal gain of the conservative agenda are the reason people don't sleep well at night. Why can't people open their eyes to how poor things have become so quickly, and how they have been manipulated their entire lives? The fact that the information and details of the current administration's wrongdoings haven't resulted in impeachments and criminal convictions leads me to entirely lose faith in the system at large. Do I give in, and let things slide? Do I speak up and fight, only to lose the fight, as well as the time and energy I wasted trying to point out the truth? I understand I have always had somewhat of a skewed world view, due to my reluctance to believe everything I was told, but this is ridiculous. I don't want to fight a losing battle, and if no one else is going to realize the truth, then I might as well stop paying attention. I'd personally be much more happy if that was an option for me.
